skin color is not the problem of the world. People need an identity and hence choose to belong to a certain group. Unfortunately, color is often how people are grouped, however that is not the reason for all the conflict in the world. When we see an african american robbing a liquor store, we are quick to throw racial slurs, however it not the entire group that is the problem. Given there is the problem of the racial hatred derived from the slave history of the african american as a group, however it is not as simple as the color problem. They were used as slaves. That was wrong. That needs reparations. It is not just about the fact that the africans were used as slaves, the aboriginal people had their land stolen and the Indians robbed of their dignity. In the era of the enlightenment, the caucasian race had a wealth of knowledge and riches that needed to be spread. With exploration ….
Yes, the American jails are full of the blacks. However that is not the problem of color. It is a fault of economic policy. Considering that the US have the highest GDP in the world and the highest level of innovation, I won’t throw any slurs at the capitalist ideology, however there are social issues that need to be addressed. The blacks in America and Australia have been left to fester in the gutters. I repeat : it is not a color problem. There are black people, like Obama for instance, who have been ‘nurtured’ right. Black people are not inferior in any way, they just didn’t create the script that is needed to build civilization. The Indian and Chinese Asiatics, by contrast did have script and hence knowledge and wisdom accumulated over the ages just as it did with the caucasians. There is some indifference with the brown and yellow against the white as well, however this is not really a color problem either. It has something to do with the animosity built up from a lack of diplomatic means during the exploration era.
There will be the day that the human race as a collective explore and conquer the heavens. One can only imagine the problems we will encounter with the other species. How to communicate is the main issue. How were the Europeans meant to share their wealth and acquire new wealth without a common language. As one fears an encounter with a carnivorous lion or alien, for speculations sake, it is not possible to anchor ship without a gun in the holster. Slavery was wrong. But it takes over twenty years, with lots of cooperation and patience, to come to grips with the language for effective communication. The British could have walked away, however the action of conquering with reasonable force is considered a necessary evil, as it would have been envisaged as the ultimate good for all. Segregation and isolation means less goes around. Trade brings more choice of riches from all over the globe. For some it is kimchi, others it is vindaloo or satay, the bolognese and the houmous. The Australian Aborigine has tasted neither nor.
The problem of the Indigenous of Australia has similarities to that of the conflict in the rest of the world. It is the vicious history of the lynchings and rapings in the colonization process. The elders pass on the horror stories of their past and create feeling of animosity between the children. A child does not know the difference between a black or a white child. They have to be taught hatred. The white child gets violin and ballet lessons, calculus and philosophy, shakespeare and dante, while the black kid gets goon and witchetty grub as a result of the sour attitude of the elders. There is no debate about nature or nurture ; ‘Give me a child of any race and I will return an enlightened cultured civilized man’. The problem is not the genes, it is the teachers the children have access to. If the elders wish to live in remote communities outback, their children should still have access to a quality education to enable them to live a fulfilling life. ‘I have a dream that an indigenous boy will one day have the opportunity to be able to court an Aryan, Chinese, or Indian princess’.
In recent times, the Arabs have had their fair share of conflict. It stems from the fact that they have a rich history of literature and empire. It is not all black and white. They also have their religious differences that cause grief to more than one. As the great US of A preach free choice and sovereignty, they really shouldn’t be invading all the Arab states claiming war on terror. The Arabs also control a large proportion of the worlds’ oil. Money talks. Oil is money. Our modern world is dependent on fuel. We do have other sources of energy, however oil is a priceless commodity in this industrialized consumer society. Hence the Arab dictators are able to play the free market game and control the supply, clientele and prices, which creates other problems. The Americans are a democratic liberal society and wish to impose their ideals upon a regime with strict laws. Once again there is no simple answer. Every society has different opinion on right and wrong which should be respected. If they wish to cover their women in a burka, they may have good reason. Parading on the beach in underwear may be acceptable, however it was the great Freud who predicted neurosis due the sexual impulse.
Drugs, alcohol, meat, sex and cigarettes are frowned upon in many cultures, considered haram. A lamb souvlaki does taste good. A bong does feel good. A cold beer does go down nicely. Cigarettes are also desired. Everyone loves sex. Haram or free choice. There is evidence that liberal societies of the west have immeasurable social problems that hinder progress. It is difficult to explain addictions, however a junkee fiend chasing his next hit is a threat to social order. Aggravated burglaries, armed robberies, prostitution, violence stemming from drug deals gone wrong, domestic violence and sexual assaults. I’m not going to say that gluttony is a social problem, but if the Indian leaders, as a people with a deep history of spiritual enlightenment, dictate that their billion will not be allowed the choice of killing animals, who will interfere with their rights? There is Gods law and there is mans law. People have had various versions of divine law for millennia, but the people are tempted by the devil. They want free choice. They have free choice in the west, however should not preach to others when they haven’t cleaned up their own backyard. The Arabs should be allowed to dictate what is haram for their own territory. Laws of Sovereignty. It is not as simple as the color of ones skin.
There is a lot of conflict in the world that seem to be racist, however have no connection to the color of ones skin. In Rwanda, the devils hacked their own people to death. Black people slaughtered black people with machetes. To this day, nobody knows the initial cause of the conflict, however the people identified as a group, not with color, but language. In Yugoslavia, language differences saw another genocide. Germany, another white on white battle. The French and British have seen plenty of deaths. Even the Asians have misunderstandings between each other due to language differences. Within India, there is battle in the north and south ; the color is the same, however the people have different views on religion and hence separation. In all these situations, the initial cause of the conflict is of mystery, but yet there will be militants ready to fight for their people. It can be compared to the street fights of the illiterate ; gangs want respect and have to command it with the miech. The crips and bloods of America has nothing to do with the color of skin, a black on black battle, affiliation based on nothing more than area codes. Mob mentality.
Freud predicted that the sexual impulse would be the fall of civilization. Love is barely understood in this world and most are disillusioned with the hollywood fairytale prince and princess stories. The truth of the matter is that dependency plays a large factor. Girls chase boys that can fulfill their desires, whether it be the penthouse and mercedes or the goon and crack, while the boy will mate with whatever puts out. Eventually the sexual pleasures turns sour with all the interwoven relationships of infidelity and financial dependencies, bringing on the aggressive impulse. There is violence, jail, the psych ward, homelessness, drugs, alcohol and murder to deal with the desire for sex. Color doesn’t play a factor in this drama, it happens all over the world between all people. It is not as simple as blaming the conflict of the world due to racism.
Unfortunately we have to understand scarcity in this modern world of seven billion. There just isn’t enough to go around. We can’t have abundance of everything everyone wants. There has to be limits. This is the main reason for conflict around the globe. Some people have and some have not which leads to coveting another man’s wife, house and ox. On the global scale, leaders have to make decision to secure resources for their people. Capitalism has its merits just as communism does. Economic ideology is about the best means to provide demand to supply taking in scarcity into account and has seen a cold war for the last seventy years. Skin color doesn’t explain everything.
